The ice-hockey club was established in 1929 and it has been a part of the Czech ice-hockey top for many years. The club entered the extraleague 1995 and since this time it joined the Czech ice-hockey elite. In the ice-hockey season 1997/1998, the HC Oceláři Třinec achieved the greatest success so far - the silver medal of the Czech ice-hockey extraleague.

The promising and talented Czech skier won the bronz medal in the World Championships 2005 in Bormio, further followed by her greatest success achieved so far - first gold medal for the Czech Republic in alpine skiing in the whole history at the World Championships 2007 in Swedish Åre. The top rank skier gained the second and third place in slalom in the World Cup.






The 18th year of the High Jump Cup "Beskydská laka" took place on the 26th of January 2010 in Třinec hall STaRS. The main program of women and men was crowded by medal holder from World Championships, Olympic Games and the entire Czech High Jump Elite.
